Scams are everywhere and even Twitter was hacked compromising thousands of twitter accounts that made posts about unbelievable giveaways by extremely wealthy public figures. These scam ads have also found their ways into youtube and social media ads and are fairly common unfortunately. These social media platforms profit from the ad revenue so one has to question if they are “truly” trying to stop them? Always remember when you send cryptocurrency it is not reversible. You cannot get your money back. So look at it like you are mailing $500 cash to a foreign country and expecting to get $1000 back…personally I would have some serious trust issues with that and hope anyone would. Always remember if it sounds too good to be true (like getting more back that you send) it’s a scam. These scammers are all over the internet and even have sites with chat/forum support which they program thousands of bots to make posts and replies/feedback frequently on how their “investment” service works even offering photo shopped screenshots to lure you into their scam. So always remember you are your own banker and your own investor.
Only use secure and trusted exchanges and be aware there are even FALSE EXCHANGES out there that will allow you to deposit funds both fiat and crypto but you will never be able to withdraw your funds. To protect against fraudulent exchanges the crypto community has a Poof of Keys event every year.
